Homemade Concrete Cleaner

This book club was created (if I remember correctly) back in 2004, from the hand of a fellow Network of Libraries of San Roque. I attended as a partner while working as a monitor in the Punto de Lectura de San Enrique. In late 2006, I proposed to take over coordination the club. For me it was a pleasure to accept this responsibility.

I've always loved reading, and the opportunity to discuss a book with others has always seemed to me one of the most exciting communication activities that exist. Share a reading is re-read and prolong the life of the book in our minds and hearts, to expand the vision that has left us reading the book, learn about other perspectives, some different lights that illuminate the landscape of what is read.

In the almost three years, I tried to make the club a number of ideas about how to approach reading the book, its analysis and understanding, while seeking the greatest possible fairness in stock selection and reserving some space for other authors as being of interest. But mostly, I tried to create a communication climate where all members feel comfortable, listened. I hope I approached this ideal.

Unfortunately, today, I feel the sad duty to report the suspension of all activities of the Reading Club Library Network of San Roque. The reason for those who do not know, is that the current government, Mr. Mayor, Don Fernando Palma, head, has decided not to renew the contracts of library assistants who work part time. That is, from October, will stay together with two companions, disconnected from the Library. The economic crisis is situations like this, which usually takes for politicians to take tough decisions in the field is always weaker and more expendable to them: the culture.

So I can only say goodbye to all those who over the years I have joined in this exciting adventure, hoping not to lose contact with them. Thank you very much everyone for your presence and your participation. And a big hug. Fram

Ramírez.
