This morning I heard the tragic news of the death of Satoshi Kon. Kon died yesterday at 47 years of age in Japan.
This information was confirmed by Jim Vowles, member of the board of directors of the Otakon and later confirmed by Masao Murayama.
The director was well known to all fans of anime as being responsible for titles such as Perfect Blue , Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika , or series Paranoia Agent . At the time of his death the director was working on a new title, Yume-Miru Kikai .
